The majority of our potatoes are sourced from the south east of England from specialist potato growers, whose expertise and attention to detail throughout the seasons is paramount in achieving top quality produce.
We are in contact with the suppliers daily, discussing the properties of the crop in season being lifted to ensure quality produce for our customer.
The potato from “Field to Customer” is all within 1 to 2 days in the new season. The efficiency of our own haulage company Spittal Haulage (Scotland) Ltd means there is no time delay in the logistics from farm to customer, ensuring quality of produce.
Potatoes
The chipping potatoes are sourced primarily from the south east of England where the soils are best suited to grow top quality potatoes for chips.
We stock many varieties throughout the year. With our most popular being the Agria, Markie and Maris Piper.
All varieties that we collect from the growers are tested to ensure they have all the qualities our customers look for (size, fry quality, appearance) and make the perfect chip.
Fruit & Vegetables
We stock a wide selection of Fresh fruit and vegetables. These are sourced locally where possible and in season.
Spanish Potatoes
We supply potatoes imported from Spain for a few weeks in early summer prior to the early UK crop being ready.
